Man from Upis, Peru, a small community along the Interoceanica SUR Highway (3,800 m in elevation) about three hours from Cusco. People from the villages, like this man, are generally happy about the new highway because they are able to reach Cusco and other cities in significantly less time. This man is one of the heads of an artisan project in Upis is supported by Interoceanica SUR (iSUR), an organization that seeks to promote conservation efforts around the new Interoceanic Highway that streteches across Peru and Brazil.
