Fulgorid insects on tree, Haramba Queros Wachiperi Ecological Reserve near Pilcopata, Peru

Peanut-head bugs congregated on a tree (Family: Fulgoridae). Photographed in the Haramba Queros Wachiperi Conservation Concession, a concession managed by the Communidad Nativa de Queros-Wachiperi near Pilcopata, Peru. The Queros-Wachiperi are the first idigenous group to be granted management of a conservation concession in Peru. The 7000 hectare concession is pre-montane rainforest and the community holds the title for 40 years with hopes of renewal. The concesison is also part of the Manu - Tambopata Corridor, which protects land around the Interoceanica SUR highway.
