Orchid (Odontoglossum lasserum). It is one of 240 species found in the Wayqecha Cloud Forest Research Center (1,450 acres) on the eastern slopes of the Peruvian Andes (2950 meters in elevation). The research center is managed by the Amazon Conservation Association (ACA) and the Asociación para la Conservación de la Cuenca Amazónica (ACCA). Wayqecha is part of the Manu - Tambopata Corridor and is also part of ACA/ACCA's strategy to protect Amazon headwaters where the Andes meet the Amazon.
